Are Dental Implants Worth the Money?

Are you missing some important teeth like I was? I know how bad missing teeth are. I had seven pulled in one visit tearing up my hygene. Once I had this operation I could still smile. You could not tell I was missing teeth but deep inside it burned me up. I could not eat chips, candy, or chew gum like I used to. I also would get painfull mouth sores on my gums. I can blame some of this on my genes, no one in my family has great teeth but it also is my fault. Early on I did not take good care of my teeth I hardley ever brushed or flossed. The only thing to save me was going to the dentist regular. But did I ever get a wake up call once I got my teeth pulled. So is it worth it to get dental implants?

Reasons for getting implants.

Here are my reasons why dental implants are worth it. Like I said I could not eat or enjoy my food like I used to, but since my dental implants I have a new life with my food. I can eat regular items and I do not drink near as much while eating. Used to I would drink so much while I was eating I would have the waiter or waitress bring me a second glass of coke or tea before I was finished I was so thirsty. Now since I can chew my food up better my thirst is quinched. I try to only drink one cup now, which is cutting down my calories because I love the bad drinks like soft drinks, tea, and coffee anything with sugar. I have lost 12 pounds on this alone. Also I get no more sores in my mouth. What a relief! This is the best part I now have no more hurting sores on my gums or in my mouth. I can open my mouth real wide and not be worried about others. Also ice is a great thing I missed, now everyday I eat plenty of ice which is real refreshing. No more pains, lose weight, great food and more this is why I like my implants.

How much did they cost.

I got all but my wisdom teeth back a total of 5 implants. This surgery cost me about 1,600 a tooth. I save up for about a year before the surgery and fixed them all at once. This surgery was somewhat painfull and frustrating at times but it was worth it.
