Not to mention your auto insurance rates.
Install new headlights
Do your headlights work proper? It is a low cost way to improve your night vision. If the car is new and they work good give them a good cleaning, get the bugs and smudge off of them. If not go out and buy some. For about 10 bucks you can get some new lights and replace them yourself. Please do this first. Be sure to check your owners manual for proper installation.
Clean your windshield
How long has it been since you cleaned your windshield? That is too long. Keep a small bottle of windex in your car and a few paper towels. If it rains and your defroster is on, or when an oncoming car comes along at night you can probably see the streaks. Clean your windows good and try to get a good cleaner some generic brands leave unwanted streaks. Clean your mirrors, the inside and outside of both your front and back windows.
Check your windshield washer fluid
Bugs are attracted to lights, that is why it is not uncommon to get a bug on your car or windshield. There is no way to prevent a bug from hitting your car, but if a big one or some dubree get on your windshield having washer fluid could come in handy. A big bottle is less than $2.00 and even the most common person can add it to their car. This way your windshield will be of clear vision in the case of a bug, smudge or mud gets on it.
